Gorgeous bikes, basically a 1098 engine in the new frame isn't it?

And it's a Duke, so will just be the bollocks.

Not much more I can add really Laughing

yeah i had a ride on one, my mate works at the local bike shop, and we took out the ktm super duke and the ducati,
both were friggin ace, the ktm was more comfy and nicer to ride
but the ducati was friggin impressive, bordering on a suicidal ride,
i managed 250kmh with 2 gears to go and pussied out Very Happy
i was in a 70km area and well my licence, well that would have been gone 150km/h before that any way. ok i just pussied out Embarassed Very Happy

both handled well, far better than i would ever need on any occasion,

but even after the stupidness of the ducati i would still have chosen the ktm as a all round better bike to have,

specs are one thing but usability is more important, i think

i rode one and thought the bars were far too low for a naked bike, felt like i was using clipons.

They are a LOT of money for what they are. A second hand KTM Superduke is much cheaper and probably just as much of a loony.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

yeah i like the ktm more, it felt alot more manageable,
and it did wheelies like a dirt bike, no troubles at all,
may be it was in my head, being as the ducati was almost double the price, i definitely didnt want to crash it, may be that hampered the enjoyment of it

I read somewhere that the front brakes where too powerful with some riders already crashing because of it Neutral

It's a well know fact the '98 R1 is the only bike that is so good that riders crash because of it.

Well I went out to get a Subway for lunch today on my day off and popped into P&H next door to catch up with a friend that works there.

Half hour later I'm poor but pick up a white '10 plate streetfighter at 9am on Saturday! Last year was my first year without a bike since I was 14 so very much looking forward to being back on two wheels!
