No actually it isn't. Picked this beauty up from a friend as a thankyou for painting his house. It just had a full (£600) service with engine work befe he decided to park it into the side of a van. Been sat at his house ever since.

Managed to get it home and it running without too much fuss. It needs a new set of forks and front wheel (gonna go down the 17" conversion route) and it's good to go, bar fairing. There is no damage to the frame, headstock bearings or anything major, which is great. I'll tidy it up and add bits as needed.

The aim is to get it ready for next seasons racing and have a cheap, road legal fun bike to race on. Thumbs Up

Looks like an RRW indeed. If it's got two 'gills' in each side of the tail fairing it's 96/97. If it has one each side of the tail piece it's 98/99 (RRW).

UPDATE:

Finally got a few parts sourced, new battery, yolks, clutch cover head bearings and new forks. managed to get hold of a 17" wheel that has already been converted to run on the blades setup too. Will post some more pics when it arrives.

So here she is at the moment. Starts up and sounds lovely. Forks are off to Ktech at the end of the month for a rebuild / respring/valve. Got a set of new diablo supercorsas to fit and we are go go go.

Missed the original post when it was made, is an RRW/RRX, front calipers and yoke/fairing brace give it away.

Fibreglass fairings shouldn't be too expensive or scrappy second hand ones, fairing panels for all Fireblade from 92-99 are interchangeable, they all fit together with the same mountings.92 nose fairing with 95 mid panel with a 99 bellypan all fits etc..
