I've decided to start this thread because it's a topic we cover a lot amonst my group of friends and it's funny to see why certain people are on their lists...

Jeremy Kyle = Everytime someone puts the show on I have to leave the room after about 10mins after the anger that builds up at how he talks to people like shit.

Tim Westwood = He's ruined many good drives that started nice then his voice comes out and I have to search for a new radio station. His stupid slogans, and the way he talks black just annoys me... he's 52 from Suffolk.... Grow up!!

Kirsten Dunst = I don't know why she annoys me so much but she does. I find it difficult to watch anything with her in it.. I usually continue watching in the hope that she dies horrifically.

I have a dislike of people that use words without knowing the true meaning.
ie: "What are your irrational hatreds".

Irrational means to not in accordance with reason / deprived of normal mental clarity or sound judgment / etc.
In the case of the people you posted I suspect that everyone has quite clear reasons why they dont like them.

Mine are as follows:
Jeremy Kyle: I do not like the way in which he earns his living from taking advantage of the simple people in life. I also HATE the way he tells people to "shut it" in his nasally weedy middle class voice.

Westwood: Surely I dont need to start a 40 page rant on this pratt !?! You do know he is about 55 and named Quentin or something like that .
Besides he cried like a baby when he was shot at ... he aint no gangsta.

Sarah Cox: Strongly dislike her 'laddette' persona. Also the fact that she has slept her way to Radio 1 and that she has no 'professional skill'.

All of the above dislike/hatreds were made with sound mind and with good reason.

Ooh erm..., honestly the Chinese.

I know I shouldn't and there are rational reasons to mistrust the Chinese establishment but I dislike them just for being, which is soo wrong and bordering on racialism and bigotry.

The way they smoke it's so ghey, their use of gaudi colours, and myriad gods and demons, I could go on...

Though I expect the average Chinese peasant probably has more reason to hate them than me.

So all said and done, no I don't think I have an irrational hatred of anyone, in fact I don't hate anyone, not even TonyTS50 or whatever the hell his name was.

Geordies. I am subjected to them at work, but of late they have cropped up fishing the same lakes and attending the same bike rallies as me. Noisy, obnoxious and thick as pigshit without exception. Anything prefixed by 'i' - ipod, itunes, iphone etc etc. I'm not sure exactly what it is that stirs my hatred of them so much, i think it's more the sort of person who owns/uses them than the actual products themselves. I think it's the general air of smug self-satisfaction that 'isnobs' have that just builds that feeling of resentment.

Also

Sharks. I hate/fear sharks, especially big fuck-off man-eating sharks. I think that stems from watching Jaws at a very early age and it scaring the living shit clean out of me.
On land, i'd reckon i have at least a 9/10 chance of beating a shark in a straight one-on-one punch up. In the water, my chances of survival drop considerably lower.
If i ever won the lottery, i would buy a big boat and something heavy duty that fires lots of big bullets (like a .50 calibre machine gun, for example), then i'd go looking for sharks and attempt to redress the balance of the years of constant torment which they've caused me.
