Route - Wickham Hampshire, up to Alton Hampshire - see map! Blue is the route we did, red was the proposed.

3 of us went, boundy on a GasGas 300, Sparks! on a WR426 and moi on WR250.

Weather was pretty good to us, with just a bit of snow at one point, but generally sunny/clear day.

Plenty of 'offs' - mostly me - Embarassed ... no real harm done (need a new numberplate now mind!!).

It was really greasy/slippy/claggy on the lanes making it quite a challenge!! Thumbs Up

boundy caught his foot going up 'water lane' smacking it badly on the bike/rocks. Shocked Thankfully after a bit of rolling about footballer style, he was up and hobbling ... sadly it turned out too painful to continue laning, so he simply took the road route back!

Here are some pics!

Nice ride out by the sounds of it. Thumbs Up
I will start doing those lanes from April ish.
But as I dont know them, I have a silly question:

The photos of Sparks and Boundy look to be taken at the same spot ... and they both seem to be having 'some trouble'.
But the terrain looks easy ??
Whats that lane called and whats it like ?

(I have ridden with Sparks and Boundy and they are far more competent riders than me ... so I know the lane must in reality be hard going ... it just doesnt look like it and I am intrigued )

It is the tricky tree rooty bit near Empshott (it is part of 'the long route' too) ... we always get stuck there!!! .... you know the one ... where you are at the road, look up at what looks like this massive climb with a gully down the middle ... it is quite intimidating to look at and you do it from a pretty much standing start ... anyway, that bit leads up and up and along the way you get to some tree roots/steps that are just the right/wrong spacing ... in good conditions, there is just enough mud either side to get round it (if you have the stones) but this time of year it is just meh!! Very Happy

You know .. this bit (from previous outing/s) - pics never do these things justice ...

Looks like a cracking day. Sorry I havent replied to any of your messages Blue. Been really busy. Me, Steph and Lee are riding through Spain then to Morocco on ttr600's. Hopefully going to be out there for a two months, maybe more.
We leave on the 19th of March so lots of prep needs to be done! If everything gets sorted in time might take the ttr's out for some light laning!
