who stopped on the M32 this morning to see if I was OK. Biggest thanks go to the bloke on the pan who gave me a bacon cob because I was freezing!

In total 9 bikes and scooters stopped, its restored my faith!

How did you manage that? Had he gone past and come back with it, or was he cooking it on the engine as he rode?

Good to hear though. Hope nothing too bad's wrong with the bike?

Twas under the bridge right at the very end of the 32 heading into Bristol.
The pan rider had just stopped at a burger van near Tesco so he said, was taking it to work with him.

Turns out my crank position sensor had packed up! Managed o get it fixed within the last few minutes, took alot of ringing round breakers as I didnt want to pay the full extorsionate price from Fowlers!

Better than when my speedo cable snapped, on the borders of Hebden Bridge and Colne (Yorks/Lancs border).

Not one bike stopped (6 passed) no one new it was driveable, the only person to stop was an 80 year old car driver in a MK2 Ford Escort.

So all this biker solidarity stuff its all cr*p.

It depends on where you are and if the bikers actually have time to stop / aren't in a rush. It might even depend on which day you're out because the weekend warrior type is possibly going to be far less helpful.

I know that I'll always stop when I see someone on the side of the road though. Even a car, even though I know I won't be of any use unless they need to make a phone call or need a small amount of petrol.
