Trying to work out what is wrong with my bike

About 4 months back I managed to run my bike low on oil, it immediatly started making a ticking/nocking noise, I assumed he bike was fecked and was on its last legs and since then have just been waiting for it to die.

Anyway, its been over 10,000 miles since then and the bike is still running fine albeit with the same noise, there has been no noticable drop in performance at all so im wondering what the noise is and is it worth fixing bareing in mind I payed £300 for the bike and its got over 90,000 miles on it.

Any ideas?

Wouldnt mess with it personally. At that sort of mileage there could be 50 worn parts that need replacing once the engine is in bits.

Ride it until it gives up, just have some recovery cover on the off chance...

Get free local recovery on my insurance so should be alright if it does go, wonder how many miles it will do in the end

Will be in need of a new rear tyre soon, reckon it will be worth me hunting around for a part worn? Can't see it doing another 15,000 (rear tyre life)

I'd go with a new one if you've got the cash, the bike may suprise you and last longer than the tyre, if it doesn't, sell the tyre/wheel on if you strip/break the bike...
