I would. It means the bloke who bought it can ride it uninsured and not be flagged up on ANPR. I've left mine for a few weeks before, usually at insurance renewal time, but I usually do tell them.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

No... it might mean an 'admin fee'. It'll only be about £30 max. If anything it is more likely to reduce your premium!

I hope so because they are a right pain in the arse to deal with. They lost my proof of no claims and kept threatening to cancel my insurance and after 5 phones calls from me they eventually got it sorted.

Just ask them a hypothetical question, if you were to remove the second bike, presumably there would be no cost, if they tell you it will cost you hundreds then just scoff and hang up.

With my policy it doesn't cost anything to have a bike removed but they normally charge about £25 admin fee to add one on.

+1 (with highlighted point in bold).
Many insurers are arseholes so don't let them do you over. But yes, you are supposed to tell them (it's no wonder why people don't though when they pull stupid money-grabbing stunts).
