Just thought i'd say hello, my name's Neil, a 35 year old train driver from Kent.

Around September last year, thought I'd do DAS so here I am, CBT done, theory done, mod 1 done, and got mod 2 on thursday, fingers crossed!

Should be after a thundercat or something similar after.

Anyway, hello!

Dont worry about it! People here have given lots of advise about doing mod 2, I think the best point I saw was to imagine that the instructor is yoru Sat nav and they are telling you where to go rather that assessing your riding ability.

Is this your first go at it?

yes mate. I have to be honest, i got through mod 1 with no minors etc and my road rides seem to be ok (don't get shouted at lot anymore by the instructor) but I'm not sure if nerves will get the better of me!

I have to admit though, i have a great instructor and don't mind the odd shout in my ear if it may save my life at some point in the future!

Thanks for the welcome though

Lol! Cheers for that mate! Looks like I'll be posting in the newbie section for a while longer as I failed Mod 2.

Totally clean sheet too, except for 2 mins away from the test center (on way back) I pulled out right from a junction, cancelled the indicator then went passed 2 junctions with it stil flashing before the inevitable came over the radio telling me to turn it off!

I could've sworn i did, but obviously didn't! I was gutted!!!

Looking for another slot though, can't give up!

I will do mate, but after forgetting to cancel an indicator on mod 2, I'll be doing it from a mondeo for a while longer! I'm not a million miles away, hazebrouck

Argh! I know your pain! I did something equally daft on mine, stopped at a junction, checked to see if it was clear, pulled out perfectly, then stalled! No idea how I managed it because I'd given it enough revs to get the bike going even though it was on an incline, and I hadn't stalled since I had started my training. Nerves make people do odd things I guess.

Don't worry though, you'll get there in the end! I just passed mine a couple of weeks ago and haven't stopped smiling yet! Best of luck with yours next time!
