i was getting off my bike today and i dropped it in the carpark where i work i could cry.
theres some scratches on it but they wont wipe away like some of the smaller ones. i think theyve gone through the paint.
how can i go about sorting these? paint spray ups are really expensive and i want it to look like it did before which was perfect.

The uber expensive way is to get somebody like Alan who will repaint a full panel for £110.
The costly but takes some effort way is to sand it down repaint and revarnish, can be deadly as some varnishes have cyanide in them.
The cheaper way is to put some stickers over them.
The even cheaper way is just to leave it as they are, bikes are meant to be ridden and will pick up scars in their life time, the CBR has picked up plenty. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. I came off my bike at 30mph on diesel, scratched most of the left side of the bike. Bike was perfect before that.
Ive just carried on riding it as it is. Bikes will pick up scratches and stone chips, nothing much you can do about it apart from wrap it in bubble wrap. ____________________ Suzuki GT250 x7------- Fazer 600------CB250RS------Aprilia Rally 70----- Bandit 600

You have 3 choices:
Buy some replacement panels off ebay, but finding perfect ones can be a bit hard.
Get it sprayed / repaired which will cost a bit and may or may not look perfect again.
Put up with the scratches as they probably don't look that bad, you just feel bad when you see them as it reminds you it was your fault
I'd be tempted to go for option 3 until you can get a quote on option 2, or at least post a picture on here so we can give a rough estimate. |

From the sounds of this thread and another of yours I've seen, you are more than likely going to drop it again before long. That's not an insult, it's just what happens when you start riding. If you really do want it mint, wait until you've dropped it a bit more and then spend some cash. ____________________ Don't practice it until you get it right, practice it until you don't get it wrong.

Depending on where teh scratches are, you might be able to successfully cover it up with a bike related sticker ... like a tyre/oil etc manufactures logo ...
Depends where it is really and how deep/bad they are ... got any pics?? ____________________ The purpose of life is to fight maturity. |

More details please.
Model (CBR400?) and year of the bike and colour scheme.
A picture would be good. I can't look for parts without knowing what they're for! If you know where to look, you can fin anything ____________________
