My heated grip control has come away from my fairing inner, what would be good to stick it with?

It is sticking plastic to plastic, I have tried 3m double sided sticky and it last a couple of days before it came away again.

I was thinking as I was polishing my wheels that the stuff they use to stick wheel weights on is a twat to get off maybe I could get some of that but it apears wheel weight comes pre stickied.

What is stupidly sticky and suitable to stick plastic to plastic

Don't know if you'd ever get the thing off again mind, I used some recently to repair some body work on my girlfriend's dirtbike - worked really well Thumbs Up

Tbh though, for what you need to do I'd probably just use velcro and superglue...

edit; Jesus, I could smell that picture from here Sick

I don't think super glue would survive the cold, I would prefer double sided tape so that it is possible for it to come off again, but everything I have used comes off in days.

I've had some success in the past using sticky backed velcro. You need to degrease the bit you're sticking it to.

Adhesive velcro should work, i'v used it in the past for a heated grip controller. Glue gun should work too, might want to rough the surfaces up first, and obviously it's not amazingly cheap if you don't already have a glue gun and some sticks.

Pup had superglued the heated grip to the ER5's throttle tube... It survived 2 years of courier work, so I imagine it would be fine for your usage.

It was easy enough to take off too... Using a dremel, just cut a slit down the length and crack off! Mr. Green

The thing is this is for the control unit which will be harder to stick as there is one flat side sticking to another almost flat side. It is prone to getting knocked and needs something with abit of give or brittle like super glue.

The pad from oxford is about 3/4mm thick and squishy so will fit better and take a battering.

Ah didn't read it properly lol... Were you not given the clampy thing for the handlebars in the pack? (Mine aren't Oxford so I don't know what comes with them)

What about contact adhesive?
