The Aprilia RSV1000R Factory 2004.
I happen to have found a cheap(ish) one, have sold the Gilera and sold something else so I am able to afford it, also the insurance is about the same as most superbikes (£950 to be exact TPO).
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these bikes and what they are like to ride from day-to-day riding to spirited riding and touring.
Also, what can I expect in terms of reliability from the Italian bike and Ohlins etc?
Thanks. . ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

Insuring a bike like that TPO is begging to get it nicked or crash it.
The question is, can you afford to take that loss? I know you're young and naive (well stupid actually) but seriously don't do it.
Find a bike you can insure AT THE VERY LEAST TPFT. You insure a £300 CG125 TPO, not a £3-5000 motorcycle.
If you can afford to lose £3k, then fair enough... ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |
