Not pissed, but had a few, and yes.

Few guys round, all got bikes, had a few beers, want to go for a nice 1am ride, know we'll get pulled over just because were bikes in a group, so we decide against it. Razz

Yes. I've also had to wait extremely long amounts of time in the cold before, to sober up before managing to get home beyond any time that lets any sleep be salvaged at all.

Riding while under the influence of even a very sight (probably legal) amount of alcohol is very fun though.

getting pissed and then getting the ides of going for ride is just asking for trouble

I've often drove back from a pub whilst fairly pissed but was purely because it was my only mode of transport at the time....and never got any "i wanna be Rossi" notions in my head

I remember a couple of years ago I went out to watch the MotoGP in a bar, meant to have a couple of beers but ended up spending the whole Sunday drinking talking shit about bikes,
Drove the RVF home nice and slow, was pretty bad and had to close one eye to see.
Made it home safe but when i stopped in front of the house forgot to put my legs down and fell over.. Neighbour gave me a hand picking up the bike Thumbs Up

Never again. When I was 16 I got an Aprilia SR50 and it was like ultimate freedom but all my mates lived 10 miles away from me so I would ride down and get pissed. Most times I would stay over at theirs until the morning and ride home but I rode back so many times pissed out my head.

Finally I got caught after a heavy night on the sauce, made it all the way back to within 1/2 a mile of my house and got pulled and banned for drink driving for a year.

That was almost 9 years ago, I decided that I had been very lucky I didn't kill someone or even myself and decided there and then to knock drinking on the head. I haven't drank since and don't plan to again.

Never when pissed. Drugs however, tis different. One of the best rides I ever had was coming down off a buttload of stuff. Felt completely sober.

Usually, when I'm walking home from the pub, but I make do with blabbering to myself about different brake markers I'm passing, what speed and gear I'd be in, yadda yadda.

Have been caught a few times places I wouldn't want to stay the night and have felt the urge to sneakily ride home - but never done so. Just drunken stupidness that got slept off quite quickly.

Bit of a grey area when it comes to hangovers mind... Neutral

I wont even have a pint now if im riding. (Car one or 2 normally ok) I rode once after two pints which although was only two pints it caused a rather significant increase in my confidence. Made for an interesting ride home Confused I can only imagine what riding when pissed would be like, its better to imagine the 1001 ways in which you would no doubt fuk yourself/bike/others.

I only ever rode drunk once. To be fair I'm certain i wasn't on a bike at the time, felt more like a missile. The ease of going fast, the reduced fear for your life and shitty reaction times was disturbing and I've not done it again since Laughing

Going for a ride or a drive doesnt even enter into my head as a thought these days, but a 2 year ban for drink driving and 4 years without your own transport has a way of making you see sense very quickly.
Go and learn the hard way like i did though if you cant control your urges.Sometimes thats the only way for people to understand why they shouldnt do ,or even think about, certain things.

Never ridden drunk, never will do. If I plan to go out on my bike, I won't drink. As soon as just a drip has touched my lips I'll think twice about going out.

Same here.
Don't get me wrong, I'm no angel - used to drive my old Land Rover home from the pub, on L plates. (before I could legally drink OR drive)

I have also been involved in a crash, when the driver has been pissed - not cool.

I think driving/riding while under the influence of alcohol/drugs is incredibly selfish. It maybe a laugh at the time, but think of the people who you could hurt and the effect on their families.

I'm still not an angel Wink Just a bit more sensible now Laughing

I rode home once from the same mates after staying up for 48hrs on speed... I swear I heard people shouting me as I was riding back, kept looking around to see who it was.

When I got home, nobody was in apart from my dad, he was loading the dishwasher up about 15ft infront of me as I came in the front door. I didn't see him though and I thought I heard him shout "Jaaaaaaaaames" like he was upstairs, so I shouted, "WHAAAAAAT?" and he span round startled and said what you shouting at? I realised he didn't even say anything.

Scatty times.

Once when i was young and daft (17) and was still living in Carlisle, i'd got home from the pub totally rat arsed and took myself & tent (i was heading to a rally on the friday, this was thursday night) off on my kh100. Woke up about midday fri 107miles away in Stranraer, bike on its side, tent half pitched and the woman who's front garden i'd pitched in shouting and getting on her high horse, throbbing headache or not i made my escape without the cops finding which way i'd gone thank f#ck. it would be something never to be repeated. This is the short version, theres lots i've left out but can't remember some things, time and the evil drink have blurred the memory.

Most I have ever drank and then rode the bike was 3 small shot glass style things of Pear Cider as Costco were giving free samples.

But never had the urge to go out and drink whilst driving. Usually when i do i dont have anything, Just stick to soft drinks

Went to a party at my mates house, took the bike as i wasn't planning on drinking. ended up getting absolutely cabbaged and decided i was going to stay the night at his.

Then i woke up on the couch in my living room, and found my bike in the back garden on it's side.

Wierdest night yet.
