Ok, I know as a rule of thumb in an MOT if you have it, it must work.

But I have a few questions and I can't seem to find definitive answers, mainly involving Head lamps - Do they need dipped beam, full beam and sidelight features? What brightness/difference in angle must these be?

Is it ok to have anything in front of the lamps (like a grill)?

If I have 2 lamps, do they have to be one on, one off at all times?

Hi

MOT rules and what is legal might not necessarily be the same. And with NI MOT tests being done by government testing stations I suspect it might be even more difficult.

However the lighting regulations are here:-

All the best
