Best free web-gallery software.

Right I got all my photos sorted, and I've tried out the built-in Photoshop web gallery software but I don't like it much. I've used batch thumbs before but that's pants too and a lot of messing around.

What's a good software for making a simple non-active-x page to display my images? I have a pretty good webspace to host them on with lots of features I don't understand.

I used to like coppermine gallery: https://coppermine-gallery.net/ but these days I just pay zenfolio $20 a year, which I reckon is worth it for the extra ease, security, unlimited bandwidth etc,; this is my page https://gees.zenfolio.com/ .
