My 18th was last night and now I feel like a pig has shat in my head.

Any ideas?

I've already done a pint of water. Now my insides feel sore and cold.

Should always sip water slowly when rehydrating, never gulp it.

One of the best hangover cures for me, is Sunday lunch.

I find drinking water before I go to bed helps rather than when I have woke up.

Anything fat and greasy and if your stomach feels like theres an underage rave in there smacked off their tits on E's then have a poo and take some andrews things.

Prevention is always the best form of defense in this situation - you should always drink a couple of pints of water before going to sleep, this will significantly reduce the effects of the poo fairy the next day. Trouble is half the time you're far too pissed to remember to do this before crashing in your pit.

Yes, this too. I went paint balling yesterday after a night on the lash and only 1 1/2 hours sleep. Funnily enough I didn't suffer a hangover as I was still drunk.

You're definitely sposed to drink the water BEFORE crashing out, LOL - if you drink it once you're awake, and you throw up, you'll just produce lovely green bile all day, every time you drink.

Too late now!
A fry-up (chewed very carefully in case you do happen to chunder at some point) really does help. For some reason the greasy stuff works.

Don't go "Urgh, can't face it ...!" : have a gentle fry up, maybe a fried egg sandwich, and if you can keep that down, go carefully for the full english Cool Thumbs Up

Glad you had a good one!

The problem with the fry-up cure is that it involves being able to cook one whilst still quite pissed.

think I might go and sit in the sun in the garden.

Only thing that ever works for me is some more drinks Laughing

Just have to make sure you don't get drunk enough to have another hangover the next day, otherwise you end up in a pretty rough cycle.

Hangover Cure:

- Vimto
- Ibuproffen
- Resolve (fizzy magic)
- Healthy Veg and meat and gravy (Sunday roast is ideal)
- Water before sleeping, and a few pints when you wake up
- A nice hot shower
- Go for a 5km run... This is one that I find incredibly difficult to do, but when I have done it I felt a million times better.
- Wear comfy clothes I.e. Hoody and trackies... pretty much chav it up.
- Sunglasses also help.

A shower I forgot about that. I always feel dirty when I have a hangover and I don't know why but a good shower always makes me feel better lol.

I think in the interest of BCF everybody should get mortal tonight and develope a hangover. Then we can split the cures up and see what works best.

But bubbs your doing that 5km run mate I'm too fat for that shit.

Hot tea to burn the badness inside you mouth and throat, then luzoade and some kind of sandwhich. Get out and start doing things too, nothing makes a hang over last like sitting at home monging out.

Best hangover cure is a deep dive on Nitrox LaughingThumbs Up

But that's a bit extreme for most occasions.

I did a bottle of Vodka last night, on top of the vicious hangover from the day before. I just feel fucking tired Neutral

The gym might help Neutral

my old housemate was a rescue diver of some sort, and had plenty of bottled oxygen. A sunday morning fry up then mong out on the sofa occasionally taking a breath of oxygen could cure just about anything Smile

the 'oxygen' would have probably been regular air compressed into the cylinder, and even if it was nitrox its still mainly nitrogen and either 32 or 36% oxygen and some other stuff Thumbs Up

Just remembered, my bro told me that in the navy after a night on the sauce everyone goes for a 3 mile run first thing in the morning. This almost always results in copious vomiting but you feel fab afterwards and you can tuck into the full english knowing it's going to stay where it belongs.

Aww, someone wants to show they've been diving. Well done you. Laughing

Plenty of people do still have bottles of oxygen pal. And you can blend whatever mix you want. Just sub 40% can be used with regular gear, which doesn't have to be oxygen cleaned and rated. Deco diving involves multiple gas mixes for different depth deco on the ascent. Wikipedia 'stage bottles' Wink

Ack, just the way I read your post in my head perhaps.

That said, even re-reading it, you still seem to have sailed past the point. And you did start with "the 'oxygen'...", which is fairly condescending yet forgiveable if you'd made sense afterwards Laughing

But never mind Mr. Green I just like poking people with sticks.

A pint (or 500ml) of flat (as it's easier to drink) coke before you go to bed when you get in, if you aren't too rat arsed to forget! You'll wake up needing a massive piss but feel fine. Thumbs Up

Water and munch down something salty when you get a chance.

Water and lots of it!!!!! And it doesn't do any harm to have a few bevvies then a couple of waters between the bevvies. Eat well before you go out and eat a decent meal when you wake up.

Alot of the hangover affects are dehydration and also alcohol lowering your blood sugar, hence why eating is a good idea. Anyone else who's in the medical field, please let me know if i'm wrong, but thats my take on it.

Tryed food but my stomach said no and it came back up.

Tryed beer and that hasn't come up but I don't feel great.

Tea seems to be doing something.
