So anyone, played it yet? Ive played until just after the part with your son and the balloon. Really impressed with the graphics but the controls seems a bit fiddly. Far too much male nudity for my liking as well - hope they even that out a bit when you play the lady. Laughing

My mate is playing it as well and has got about an hour further but says he is still just wandering doing mundane things around his flat (which ironically is what he does in real life as well) so hope it gets a bit more involving soon.

Do you actually have any control over your character? From what i've seen it looks like the whole game is a cut scene with moments were you have to press a button to perform an action i.e press 'X' to say no or 'O' to say yes etc.

Has good ratings so must be doing something right tho.

It's actually the complete opposite, you have total control over everything. Think the first half hour or so is just getting used to controls whilst you wander round your house - and later your flat - shaving, drinking orange juice, making pizza (yes it really us that mundane), but I've just had a call from my mate who says that it has started to get really good now that he has picked up the story from the role of a couple of different characters, and has been in a fight as one of them and started to do detective work as the other (investigating the "origami killer")

The select bit you talk about is just where you can see what your character is thinking, and by pressing the button you get more details (so far I've been thinking that I'm hungry mainly)

I'll not be playing any more tonight, but I'll try and remember to post tomorrow once I've given it a few hours play and let you know what it's like.

I've been tempted by it, but it looks a little clunky in the way the characters move and that.

I don't know. It's either that or NHL 2010 for my week off work.

Well I've given it a few hours play now so feel I can speak with some authority on the game...

The graphics and music are amazing and give a really great atmosphere. The game itself has settled into more of a "select this, then press that, then move the joypad this way" type game and has become kind of linear - although there are lots of different options you can make at various parts of the game which apparently change the outcome.

Basically it's like an interactive movie more than a video game.

So far I give it 7/10.

I played the demo and it seemed like a fairly good game, more of a film that you control actually.

Just not my sort of game, a mate said he was going to buy it so i may have to borrow it and give it a proper go but i won't be ditching £40 for it.

...and that's it completed. Pretty short game (reckon 6-7 hours to finish). Pretty good, but as MattHirst says it's not really worth £40. Fortunately I've got a mate who is buying it off me for £35 tomorrow. Laughing

Played the demo and thought it was interesting and well-executed, but I don't think I could cope with the stress of an entire game's worth of quick-time events.
I fell down that bloody hill 3 times as it was...

I started it last night so far I am really enjoying it. Not to chuffed its going to be so short though.

Nah, the actual ending is meant to be the same no matter what path you take, just the characters might be killed off en route or the story changes slightly. I've just been looking on line to see what different things have happened to people and it doesn't sound different enough to convince me to play through it again.

I just finished it, pretty good game but definitely one to rent, it took me 2 days to get through it. The story is really good the twist was actually a good one, it made sense (mostly) and was a surprize. A fair bit of boobage too. The animation and how the characters moved was excellent but the controls where very clunky I never really got to grips with them even towards the end was still bumping into shit. The action sequences were excellent and had me far more engrossed and on the edge of my seat than traditional gameplay. All in all a good game bit little re-playability.
