Does anyone know of a satnav that allows you routeplan without using A roads ...
Or an online routeplanner that has more than avoid motorways as an option .. as AA and RAC did not ..

Guard your Route against traffic
Call AA Roadwatch on 84322 and select option 3. Calls to AA Roadwatch cost up to 65p per minute and text alerts cost 25p each.
Route plannerTraffic News Maps From:
To: Add via Route options Reverse route
>>>> Avoid motorways <<<<<
Avoid tolls/congestion charging
It is if you select route options ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

If i can plan a route via google and put it on a tom tom car sat nav, then that would be ideal, would just have the audio playing as sat nav in pocket.
I will have researched route aswell, map and google earth, it's just with so many B roads to go through, and the odd small stretches of A roads .. this custom map thing is ace, and the extra miles covered will be fun and at 100 mpg ... ta ____________________ Flip Wrote: You're a bloke, you don't need kids. Thanks Alex,
I'm not fussed about the fuel being a 125cc, more bothered about going along nice roads at whatever speed instead of dual carriageway A roads with cars screaming past me at 80 !!

True, but instead of the danger of cars zooming by at 80 you'll now have to contend with tractors, sheep, cows, horses, narrow roads, blind corners, random pedestrians etc.
I wouldn't really say it was safer and there are great A roads just as there are great B roads. So if you're doing it for the sake of your pride I wouldn't be too worried. If you're doing it for the route and to explore then good on you ____________________ will never give up his CG. I look at my fuel gauge more as a progress bar than a fuel gauge.

Oh I hear ya!
It's amazing for me on a single carriage way A road when you come up to a tractor and 10 cars behind it. You may be a tiny 125 but you can overtake every car and the tractor even with oncoming traffic (normally) and speed off in to the distance Same goes with slow moving caravans ____________________ will never give up his CG. You can Alexio, but i have 10 years driving experience, and anyone in that cue maye dive out to overtake the lot, and take you out in the process, which then could put you in the path of all traffic both ways whilst your on the floor .... be wary of that m8 ... ____________________ Flip Wrote: You're a bloke, you don't need kids. I haven't been hit by a vehicle yet! I'm pretty sure I'm seen most of the time, at least I know that I'm always visible in their mirrors. Not that cars always check their mirrors It usually looks too dangerous for the cars to overtake anyway. ____________________ will never give up his CG. It can be fine near on all the time, but would you take a 100 - 1 chance on your life ... because it's the one time you encounter not being seen in that scenario that could be fatal ... it's upto you, i at your age, albeit in a sardine can of a car, drove like a boy racer m fer .. in this scenario, often when one of the cars decides to go go for it as it were, they gun it quick without much thought for a hard to see 125 cc trying to do the same, they can pull out in a instant, on near foot to the metal, and that's when you come a cropper and the calculated risk goes wrong big time, i'm not trying to preach to you Alexio, but it is not a risk worth taking when in a big tractor cue like that on a 125 ... ____________________ Flip Wrote: You're a bloke, you don't need kids. Just get TYRE - it's really good. It uses google maps to power it and lets you plan route really good and create the .itn files for the tomtom.
