I live next door to an old peoples homes, thankfully there is a five meter gap between the two properties ..

I get along with them reasonably well, although they do like a moan ! ..

A review of the two stroke 125 i'm buying said your neighbours will hate it .. ! Now that tallied with needing to warm the bike up a tad means i'm considering pushing the bike to the back alley at the end of the garden and starting it up there, before a minute or two setting out on my way ....

So the question i have for BCF is, am i being a good neighbour or should i tell them to show me OAP Tits or GTFO ....

I'm in a rented property .. btw ..

My next door neighbor used to have a 350 YPVS that he used to warm up every morning. The noise of a 2 stroke doesn't seem to carry through walls so well as a 4.

i had my neighbour across the roads from me come out at 6am when i started the bike to go to work, left it running on bit of choke (as you do) he just stood on his driveway with his robe on in the freezing cold.

as im nice, i actually wheel by bike around the corner (we have a corner hour) now.

I have to take my bike down a small tight alley to get it out onto the roads and I start mine while still in the garden. When going down the alley the noise gets really loud with the echo, etc.

Besides, most of the cunts that live nearby all have dogs that bark all the fucking time!!!

Depends on the time - personally if it's before 9am (or 10am on a Sunday) i'll roll my bike to the bottom of the road before I start it, then ride off and take it gently for the first few mins to let it warm up.

Coming back I'll switch it off as soon as I park it unless it's after 10pm, then I'll switch it off while rolling down the road.

Not much hassle to me and I think my neighbours understand I'm being reasonable.
