Strange guy pushing a ducati

A few months back i am off on a bimble to Thunder road, when i see coming towards me a guy pushing a red bike..

Since i had just passed a petrol station and thinking he had run out of fuel, i swung around at the next roundabout and pulled up behind him..

The red bike was a 2008 Ducati fully faired not sure which model, anyway i said "hey mate need a lift to the garage.."

No he says got plenty of fuel the bike just stopped and now it wont start and all the lights have come on. (The guy is in full leathers and is now looking a tad sweaty)

Ok you going far i will give you push, about 2 miles he says but no thanks all the same.

So off i go 45 minute later i am coming back, the guy and the Bike have gone about 400 yards up hill..

Off i jump again, would you like a hand now (at this stage he is very very sweaty and his face is the same color as the bike).

No he says its my baby and i will push it - dick head i thought and on i went..

An hour later may wife come home and says "never guess what i just saw a guy pushing a red bike"

So is this strange behavior a Ducati thing...

The rumour about the welsh chasing sheep is not true. Ok its partially true but i was only ever helping it over the fence.

To be honust if I wouldn't have offered to push it because if I had dropped it there would be a quiet few seconds before I run like a motherflumper.

You realise two people can push a bike, right?! You know, one pushing the bars, and the other the tail...

I don't see much reason why this guy didn't accept the help, perhaps he was embarrassed; Didn't want you to go out of your way (even though you'd offered several times).

I meant more: The way everyone has replied saying they'd not trust someone else to push their 'expensive' bike. That isn't what you were offering, you were offering to HELP him push it.

Maybe he was fed up of the clutch rattle noise.

My 1st pillion was a duke rider who'd run out of juice, he did look out of place perched on my '83 XL125 but was grateful. I was glad i didn't drop him cos his kit was worth more than me and my bike put together.
