Afternoon everyone..

This is probably a no hoper but here goes.

A guy at work is trying to sell his bike, its a pretty unloved looking 2-stroke crosser/supermoto looking thing with quite modern looking plastics.

It's '07 reg, and has an "MV" logo on the crankcase.

He said something like.. "MV is a german company to do with KTM... blah blah blah"

So basically from what I can tell its basically one of these shitty unbranded bikes.

I normally wouldnt look twice, but we're in the army and I know exactly how skint he is, and he wants rid of it for £250 (its been going down every month for a while now), from the look of things it needs a new chain and sprocket and a rubber hose on the engine (possibly 2 stroke oil) has perished as its been un-used a long time.

So, does anyone have any idea what this bike is (manufacturer, model etc)? And if its worth a punt to do up and sell on.

Cheers fellas, Shake

which appears to be the same bike, though the one im looking at is without decals.

So, that'd make it an MZ then.
Company being going for ages, formerly MuZ.
It is a German firm.
I believe closed end of 2008 but bought and still on the go although I understand any new bikes may be Chinese origin as original factory now a nightclub and badge owners from the far east.

So as old model certainly not a shitty unbranded bike (I think you were trying to say it's a Chinese copy).

A little research if you could be arsed would have told you this. Even Wikipedia has an entry.

Don't know of any tie up with KTM but they did use Rotax engines (doesn't everyone at some point!) for the Skorpion.
I believe Stinkwheel may have had such a machine.

What you're looking at is probably the 125-SM, as in SuperMotard.
There's a review if you click here

As to worth a punt, then I'd say they're ok. Depends obviously what and how you want to use it and what your expectations are. I believe they're more road oriented.
IMO for £250 it's a bargain runaround.

HTH Thumbs Up

Thanks for the info Map, so I was a way off with the 2 stroke tag.. Shocked

Sounds like it could be a fairly decent buy, need to have a closer look, and work out using my extremely lacking mechanical know-how what that perished hose is for.
