OK it's been bugging me for a while now Laughing I found this picture last night on a bike forum and I want to know WTF that thing is in the river? Looks like a cross between a beaver and a bear! Laughing Anyone care to enlighten me?

Its way bigger than a vole and it doesn't look like a Beaver. The pic clearly shows somewhere of a northern persuasion so I'd wager it is a Wolverine.

I'm not 100% sure where the picture is but I think the bloke that posted it was American, looks like a trail bike so doubt hes gone tooooooooo far from america on it.

DaveJPS, I think it is a Wombat actually after google image searching! Slightly bigger and darker than the other ones so maybe its a toxic mutant wombat.

Wombats have big fat noses. Wolverine's look like the picture you posted.

I disagree, the picture I posted does have a big fat nose, its also a oval muscular shape which a wombat is, the wolverine looks more like an oversized ferret which the picture I posted doesnt.

Who would win in a fight?

I think the wolverine is a bit skinny and gangly and is the equivilant of a chav in this scenario.

The wombat on the other hand is a bit stocky and looks a bit nasty. So I know which one I would rather fight.
