Tesco net shopping - grab a bargain

There's been a cock-up on the Tesco site, I've just bought 36 tins of Tesco tomato soup for £3.20, they've put the offer for single tins ( 3 for £1.20 ) on the click for a 4 pack... My multibuy savings are £17...

Every little helps.

As an aside... is one expected to tip the driver? I've been doing internet shopping for 3 weeks and haven't given him any money yet. No one gives me a tip and my job is more skilled than driving and knocking on doors, know what I mean?

I assume that they pay their delivery drivers a salary, therefore tipping isn't necessary.

Nine pence a can is about all that Tesco own brand soup is worth.
As far as tipping the supermarket delivery drivers is concerned, don't do it. The drivers supplement their wages by lodging spurious compensation claims:-

I thought if they couldn't get the same product, then they choose an equivalent. They then price match the difference.

AKA, you will only ever pay less/same not more.

Now sure if it will apply to this though...

used to work in ASDA (they all have the same policies) and the policy is to charge the rate in the store at time of picking.

online prices are guides only.

they can offer the equivilent but you dont have to take it.

once this mistake is realised you will get charged full price, so unless you are lucky you will probably end up with lots of full priced soup

Thats the only way I shop I have been using tesco on-line for 5 years now and their store is 25 miles from me. Very handy for me as I dont have a car and its so far away,. Where I live everything is £1 at least more than tesco making shopping double the amount and you cant even get the simplest of things when you want them in the crappy supermarkets here,. I used to get money off tesco from vouchers all the time but they seem to have stopped that now. Still saves me cash and hassel.

tesco on line is great... if they have to give you an alternative, they don't charge you any more. Maybe I won't get away with the soup... but you can just send it back, so no problem.
