Well i'm new to this forum site so thought i'd do my first post.

Basically I passed my test under a month ago and my insurance on my 125 is up at the end of april.
Problem is i'm not sure whether I want another year on my 125, a 33bhp bike or something bigger and have it restricted.
Then theres the question of what bike I want Razz

If anyone has any suggestions i'd appreciate it Smile

Not do double posts. Laughing

I'd say get yourself a bigger bike personally. May as well get something smallish, and restrict it if need be.

Ta for your replies Smile

In all honesty I can't see me wanting to keep my 125 even tho I love it to bits.
Do you know of any bikes that restrict well?

Funnily enuff matey.

I too am am Liverpool (Childwall) and i am selling my zxr400. I have a restrictor kit for it too. It is my 1st bike after riding a 125 for 2yrs then getting my licence.

Sad to see this go, but i want something bigger like a zx7r 1997
I have spent alot of time on this bike, and it has repayed me no-end by letting me learn how to ride a super sports.

And most naked 4's or 6's restrict well.

Personally I'd avoid 400s now as much are getting rather long in the tooth and are getting rather knackered.

I'd suggest restricting something like a hornet, bandit, fazer, sv650s, CB500, ER5, ER6, Monster etc.

All very easy bikes to learn on, and make great first big bikes IMO.

I do quite like the look of the bandit and sv650.
Reckon you can get a decent condition bike for around 1200-1500 :/

It it awesome, the sense of power and acceleration compared to a 125 is wikid Very Happy

I can get from The 5-way pub to the Liver buildings in 5mins on it.
corners like a dream, sticks to the road like glue.

I do love it, and i would love to keep it forever but i cant afford to have 2 bikes. Thats the only reason im selling it.

My suggestion would be...look through this forum, write down a list of the bikes you have seen people suggest to others. Go to google images, and look at them online.

Cross off the ones you don't like, then go and see some of the ones you do, in the flesh (so to speak). Arrange to do a couple of test rides (at the very least sit on the bike), checking the seating position.

Then make your informed decision from what suits you.

Everyone is different, and everyone will tell you what they like, and you will be bombarded by so much information and won't be in any better situation than now. Idea
