My dad fixed my bike yesterday and it works fine now but afterwards handed me a screw and told me not sure where it went. So now I'm too concerned to ride it.
I know he took off the side plates, the seat and the fuel tank so likely but not limited to be from there.

Its a 2-3cm screw with a distinctive gold 'top hat' tube over it: about 1cm long covers the screw and a thin 'brim' the size of a washer that goes against the screw head there's a rubber washer on the that goes over the gold 'top hat' and about the same thickness of the 'brim'.

Below I've made a crude attempt to show what the screw looks like side on:

S=Screw, G=Gold piece, R=Rubber,

GR
SGRGGG
SGRGGGSSSSS
SGRGGG
GR

I've ordered a Haynes manual so I can check myself, but that won't arrive for several days so any help now is appreciated.

Yes parts 29-31 where right, thank you very much. I didn't notice it as there was a screw in there that was in the wrong place, but it's all fine now so looking forward to riding it tomorrow.

Nice one, get hold of the Haynes manual and service/parts manuals for the bike and do your own repairs. Most stuff bar the engine is pretty easy on this bike, as I'm finding out! Thumbs Up
