'streetfigher inshurance'

callign around for inshurance on a gsxr750WP thats had the fairings taken off and a set of renthals fitted. would this be declareable as a streefighter.

one quote went from 650-1800 because i said it was 'streefighterd'

and grp 14 inshurance for a 20 yr old.

seems steap best quote so far £450 o.O

Surely it is just a normal bike but with some bodywork -temporarily- removed?

"Streetfighter" suggests custom parts and fabrication. Whipping the bodywork off and fitting some CHEAPER bars to replace OEM is less involved and is not a 'streetfighter'.

It is hardly going to be faster or more expensive to repair

This is what's known as telling them too much.
Tell the insurance company that the fairings have been removed, if you feel a desperate urge for honesty.
Saying it's a streetfighter instantly tells them that you're intending to ride like a tosser, not that you prefer the streetfighter look.

Also, group 14 at the age of 20 is always going to be pricey.

It's up to you, but it does sound like a bike with some bits removed to me.

Ebike probably have a "Fairings removed" option in their mods dropdown, though their pricing can be a bit variable.
