i got asked a hypothetical question today and i thought id pass it on.

If a person was seen on the rear wheel of a motorcycle by a police officer, in say, one of those "half vans" and said person turned off down a side street and was not sure if the officer spotted his registration plate, would he be likley to recieve a NIP, or would they pay the owner a visit? (name/address correct on logbook) and the station and place of offence was local to there home.

say this happend around 7 days ago and has heard nothing, but is still worrying about getting "nipped"

whats the most likley outcome?

Oh, and lets say there were no camera's operating in the van.

what are your thoughts?

the van pulled out of the junction as the rider turned onto the sliplane turning into the same junction, the van was at an angle pulling out, so i doubt if there was a camera it could of seen the rider anyway.

said person has been worrying for days and still is!! Crying or Very sad

One night I took chase form the police. They called round to my house the next day and I said it wasn't me or my bike. There wasn't much they could do so they left after making the usual threats.

Don't worry pal. If he was going to follow it up he would have. Not worth the paperwork Thumbs Up
