this is a bit of a ''build to order'' thing, but may as well put it out.

im building a YPVS 31k that should be finished by about june or july time. will look something like this (same colour too)

https://www.bikez.com/pictures/yamaha/1988/12871_0_1_2_rd%20350_Image%20credits%20-%20mac%201%20brazil.jpg

now, im after ideas of how much they're worth in decent nick (ebay doesnt help too much as its rare you get one like this on there (at least when ive checked)

itll have 12 months MOT and tax.

19k miles

full engine rebuild about 300 miles ago.

all standard

[edit=g] - Thread title changed, please use the for sale section if you wish to sell, that way it means we don't have another flame war on our hands Rolling Eyes. [/edit]

edit @ edit G. go fuck yourself. its asking what theyre worth. if someone makes me an offer thats their problem.

20p and half a bag of wotsits.

Seriously though, if it is done up with new stuff e.g. C&S kit, oils, tyres, and everything is damn near perfect then maybe 3-4k

Allymoss, it will never be worth £3,000. Maximum I'm going to say £2,000 but I wait for a more knowledgeable person of RD350s to come along and put me straight.

Hi

Suspect £3k might be reasonable for a low mileage original one in very good condition and never restored.

All the best

Keith

That isn't a picture of a 31k.

https://www.seemar.co.uk/yamaha%20rd350ypvs%20black%20mousemat.jpg

THAT is a 31k. It has different wheels, different forks, different brakes and various bits of detail that are different.

Powervalves are going for increasingly barking money these days. £3K is entirely feasible for a particularly nice example with a sound motor. Yam were always good at making bikes with more go than the chassis and brakes could handle and this type of bike is growing in popularity in these days of exceptionally dull 4T shite.

It might be worth your while going around some bikes and shows, and get a story done in a magazine, or UBG...get some coverage; because there will be people out there, who have hankered after getting one, who might be willing to offer you a bit of money!!

You will be verry lucky to see 1k ....

i assume its goignt o have matching numbers? original plastics? proper colours? then you might see £1400 ish -2k

a imaculate 31k with ALL original parts and matching numbers would be VERY lucky to pull in 2k. i got £500 for a n1 .. matching numbers etc. engine untouched on stock bore. needs a new crank and abit of tlc.... probs be worth 1.4k ish after 500 spent on it .... 2k is near on never. and marjay that would be a 31k Wink but a lc11 31k.

gotta remember there is 3 variants of 31k.
lc11 = orignal ypvs bikini fairing and headlamp fairing. forkbrace on the forks and a swingarm with a rounded end where the adjusters are.

n1= nakid undaired bike. forkbraced. box sectioned swingarm

f1 = faired bike braced forks , box section swingarm.

for a bitsa with a 31k lump and a 31k frame in REALLY good condition you might get 1k ish ....

I loved my N1. My first big bike. Used to embarrass the big bikes my mates had at the time, old Z1000's, CB900F's, Z750's, even GPZ900R's on most roads. I've often though of getting another but i think it's best if i just leave it in my memory. Years of riding modern machinery would probably dull the experience of riding an N1 now.

I've got an F2 that has been converted into an N, and its cracking fun to ride. It doesn't feel like it is low tech, it just feels stable, sweet handling and quick. Mine has recently been rebuilt and tuned by Stan Stephens and I need to finish running it in. Hopefully I can get this done early this summer.

On my mito 350 i built it as brand new, so it was expensive.

This is a different engine and a different bike

if the motor is fresh and the frame dont match etc. you'd be better off splitting it £400+ for the lump ..
