brake seals and pads

how long does it take to wear in a new set of pads/seals approx?

ive been told there a little bit soft until they wear in, is that true?

Couple hundred miles is the figure bounded around.

However last year I replaced by pads and took it to an MOT 3 miles down the road it still passed the brake test no problem.

normally around a hundred miles or so, just to bed them in, same as a tyre really...
