Suzuki RG500

I was in town today and saw a Suzuki RG125 I liked the look of it so I looked on autotrader for one. There was no 125's but there was this 500. The price can't be right surely.

It is stunning and I would cut off 12 grands worth of testicles to have one but 12 grand, 12 fucking grand. Does it run on air and the exhaust gases are made of gold molecules or something? 12 grand.

Could be fun, but too much money for one (that said someone is trying to sell a new Bimota SB6R on Ebay for £20k, probably about double its value).

However think there was an RG500 for sale in Aus for even more, although it was new.

In the late 90's alot of people owed me money. I aquired a fair amount of testicles assuming the economy would crash leaving money worthless and testicles of higher value than women. Ohh how wrong I was.

I've seen similar condition bikes go for £5-6k, wasn't there one in Australia that was brand new never been run? I think that went for about £12k

When I was looking for my next bike after my YPVS I nearly bought a tatty but tweaked RG, tuned motor, RGV wheels etc. Got as far as test riding it. Then sanity kicked in and I bought a mint GSXR400RKSP instead. Not sure if I regret passing on the RG or not....at 19 years old it would of been a bit much keep in fuel and oil, plus an engine failure would of pretty much bankrupted me.

I drove my brothers one about 15 years ago, back shock was fucked and was afraid to open it up as its "MotoGP replica" reputation put the shits up me..a very non-eventful ride really.

Funny enough, I was driving it to my uncles place to put in storage, its been there since only a couple months ago when my brother finally got around to selling it.

Can't remember how much.. couple of Thou I think ..
