Cheapish Key Fob

Anyone used a place to replace a Car/Van Key/fob before, that does it for under 250 quid ... ??

It's for a newish W Caddy 1.9 TDI ... ta

Hi

I have used H.Harrold in Sheffield its about 40 quid for a clone key for a ford I think. Quite a few large key cutting places and most locksmiths can clone the keys now, all at a fraction of the official dealer price.

He want's the full electronic fob with the open close and boot button ... will check link out to see if they do that ... ta

Have you got a key to clone?

Should be easy enough to get a blank and get it cut.

There's instructions here https://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_program_vw_key_fob on how to program the new fob to work with the car.

Dunno if it works on VW's but I've done similar on Ford and Alfa Romeo

It's my Bro, he wants to buy one all done and dusted for cheaper than the 250 from VW .... he won't entertain programming etc .. i will have a look to see if i can do it for him ...

edit .. looks simple .. just need to source key and fob with electronics and buttons .........

Found a load on ebay for around 50 quid .. getting chassis van number to buy the correct one, then use that link to programme ... ta very much ...
