i have done a deal, and will be the proud owner of an old but tidy and mechanicaly sound Honda CG.
However being a big chap, i want to raise it slightly.
so i was thinking that a few inches in height front and back would be good.
i am thinking that there is enough margin/room for me to fit a pair of shocks that are an inch or two longer.
i was thinking along the same lines for the front forks.

so does anybody know of forks from another motorbike that might slot in?? has anyone else done this?
changing the shocks wont be to much of a problem.

the only things i can think of that may need to be looked at are chain length to accomodate that bit of extra travel, and the same for the cables up front.

i am not talking about trying to make a poor mans trial bike.. just raise it slightly.
yes i know i could go for a taller bike, but this is what i have got!

any ideas folks??

Instead of changeing all the shocks can you change the rims and tyres? from say 15"-17" ect im not sure what will fit a cg but rims would be the easyest and cheapest way i would think

Cg is already 17-18" so that wont work.

And even if you do raise it by 2" how much of a difference will that make? Its still a tiny bike.
