After 17,000 miles the OEM chain on my 2000 CBR600FY needs changing. Before I part with the money I thought it was worth asking if there are any recommended places to get one from. Good quality is the only thing I care about, I'm definitely not a name whore.

Chain is a 525 - 110 links. 44 and 16 tooth sprockets. Best price at the moment is £70 for a DID pro X ring from DK. Sounds good to me.

I'm going to have to count the links. Haynes and Clymer have 110 but most online dealers suggest 108 links Confused

Perhaps Haynes/Clymer are just eering on the side of caution more than the retailers.

May also be worth seeing how much an OE C&S kit is from somewhere like David Silver Spares.

+1 DID. The OEM one they put on my YBR lasted over 15k miles. Do not buy an IRIS chain, there are quite a few reports of them snapping, including from myself.

B&C express work out at £113 for a tsubaki chain and steel sprockets. Is it worth £40 more than the DID?

Does the £70 for DID include sprockets? If so then I would go for the £70 DID kit (assuming it is an appropriate spec).

Hey, it's 108 not 110, mine's the same model. I've just bought a supersprox front and rear, great quality, highly reccomended.. Ordered directly from:

Picked it up today and have nothing to complain about, DID X ring chain and sprockets. No one else could price match.
