Hi.
I have changed the engine in my bandit 400 and am trying to get it to start.


one thing that is being Suggested is to get the original cdi for the engine.

Will this matter?
Do you know if the cdi is programable?

Was the engine you put in the same model as the one that came out, or from a different model Bandit?

It is the same size and type but different year.
Old is 1991 model M
Replacement is 1992 model N

I'd be wary of matching a vvt engine to a non-vvt cdi, or vise-versa.
