Finally managed to take some pictures of some of my xrays and CT scans.

Arrow My pelvis just after the accident -

Arrow A car crash that occured just in front of us on the way back from the hospital yesterday, I called 999 while G and Laura directed traffic. Laughing

To be honest it the broken Pelvis didn't really hurt, the punctured lungs on the other hand were a bit unpleasant. Neutral

I can now walk and Stephen has come a long way in the three months since the accident, so I would say both our recoveries are going pretty well considering (Ste may disagree with this).

Looks fairly painful. Shocked Neutral Although the ones of the leg peircing from the otherside are also impressive, and painful looking.!

It's good news that you're now able to walk again, as that's most of the way there now. Thumbs Up

Yup, I would agree that my recovery has also been good, as they were not expecting me to have to be staying in hospital for long at all, but leaving for the wrong reasons. Sad I'll just have to wait and see what happens and what I'm left with as people don't recover 100% from serious brain injuries and they say you recover what you're going to in 2 years with 95% of that in the first 6 months.

Did the checkup up at Boston all go okay then?

Hope the people in that crash were okay, must have been interesting/ strange seeing the Air Ambulance.

The checkup went well, they actually did some x-rays and compared them to the ones done shortly after the operation. Both the surgeons who did the operation were there and seemed to think the bone was still aligned correctly. They said I can now walk, run or even jump if I want to. They also said doing track days was fine. Smile

I've got to go back in 6 months time, just so they can check it hasn't moved and that the pins are still straight. But on the whole they said exactly what I was hoping to hear.

It was quite strange seeing the crash, I'm just glad that the lorry in front of us wasn't going any faster, or it may well have ploughed into one of the cars. All of the people involved seemed to be basically ok, although one old lady did seem quite shaken up, thus the air ambulance I'm guessing. First time I've ever had to call 999 though.
