having just watched the fourth kind, the same thing keeps coming up whenever the topic of aliens arises. The evidence is always shit. out of focus blurry bollocks.

so what does BCF think?

1 - do aliens exist?
2 - are they visiting earth?

me?
1 - probably - not intelligent life if there is any, plausible single cell bacteria stuff. very very unlikely there's any life you can see with the naked eye let alone something that's as intelligent as us.

2 - no. There's no credible evidence. Think about it logically. Even if they could travel close to the speed of light, it would take the millions of years to get here. Let alone how did they know to come to earth out of the billions and billions of stars, let alone planets. And if they did by some miracle discover earth, you think they would waste there time abducting people after all that effort? Its more than likely its the military fucking about with people and new technology.

I consider it highly unlikely they're using anything as primitive as light-speed travel, it's far more likely they're able to bend time/space and go anywhere within the universe (and outside it too) in nano-seconds.

doubt it. your talking about stuff with gravity the same as black holes. I dont see how anything living in our universe that we know of can comprehend a 4th dimension, which ultimately you need to be able to do to bend space and time and understand gravity. If they are living in the same universe as us, if the human mind cant comprehend multiple dimensions then i dont see how an alien one will be able to.
Now, if intelligent life from another dimension exists, then perhaps thats what ghosts are, perhaps they aren't as intelligent as us, but can communicate with us, and are experimenting on us to make life better for themselfs, but are refusing to communicate through fear of us understanding further dimensions and destroying their way of life. But where's the evidence?

Ghosts are real?

I was going to mention about other dimensions and how theorists/stoners are adamant that they exist but I'd rather believe aliens are more likely.

It's ok, in two years time we'll all be on a higher spiritual plane, aligned with the gods and worshiping alien beings anyway, or so they say..

what I say is.. get a job you crazy-fruitloops.

How you can say that it's very unlikely there's any life beyond single cell organisms and definately not intelligent life like on earth anywhere else in the universe is beyond me. Take a look at some photos of space, hubble deep field and see all the galaxies, unless you're incapable of comprehending scale for some reason then it's just totally unreasonable to think such a thing.

If we managed to create a lightspeed method of propulsion it'd be amazing, a feat of science and probably the invention of the millenium...but ultimately it would be quite rubbish if we planned to visit anywhere outside our solar system. Even the closest stars are between 4-10 light years away so that's a round trip of 8 years minimum at light speed, if there is life then the chances of it being in any neighbouring star systems are very, very slim. Then ofcourse there's the supporting technology you'd need to go with lightspeed travel, light speed sensors to detect objects, some kind of shield to stop a grain of sand destroying your spaceship when you hit it at 671,000,000 mph.

Like Hetzer says, proper interstellar travel cannot be achieved at light speed, it has to rely on something else. Plus ofcourse there's the physics issue of anything that has mass will require effectively infinite energy to reach the speed of light so it can't happen, although just under maybe.

If there is intelligent life out there, why would it bother with us? why would it even be drawn towards a small yellow star in the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy?

UFO's are a clever cover for military equipment. Most of which we are aware of such as the B2 stealth bomber etc.

There might be some stuff we aren't aware of, but there is certainly no evidence of visitations by extra terrestrials. Its almost more logical that these beings are time travellers from the future... but that is nearly as preposterous to be honest.

1 yes, the galaxy let alone the universe is so vast that the chances of life out there are considerable.

2 Maybe, for study purposes, to do their equivilent of Phds? etc etc, also about light speed, being the limit. Aliens may have some sort of technology which is incomprehensible to us.

As close back as 50 years ago we were scoffing at going to the moon, 100 years ago flying yeah right! 200 years ago, how doth your coach travel without horse?

400 years ago BURN HIM/HER they are a witch!.

Or quite simply they have acheived technical singularity, whereby somebody builds an AI or computer that is smarter than the creator, which can 'think' in ways the creator cannot which designs an even more intellegent machine, which designs an more intellegent machine.

Because they're on our doorstep.

As long as our perception of the Universe is correct, it is illogical to come to any other conclusion than the existence of intelligent life elsewhere.

Their visiting us is not quite so certain, as they'd have to find us by chance, and there are a lot of places to look.

Humans can't but humans aren't exactly the be all and end all of knowledge and enlightenment. We've been around for a tiny fraction of time compared to absolutely everything else in this universe and if there are other civilisations out there, there's a good chance that they could be billions of years ahead of us.

Humans suck balls.

There may well be intelligent life out there, but space travel requires vast amounts of energy because of the distances involved, so not many planets would produce life that had enough to burn to be worth sending out manned space probes.

The chances of direct contact between independantly evolved lifeforms is very unlikely in my opinion, so not worth thinking about.

Here's what I think:

Everything comes from one source, a single eternal consciousness.

Us people, and aliens, are all consciousnesses derived from that single source. Those of us who are lower on the developmental ladder are born as humans (or some other lower species on other planets etc). Higher souls are born as aliens (higher species on other planets) and have more advanced technology. Really high species are given jobs as grounds-keepers and can flit around this, and other universes, at will.

When we're all 'dead' we're in the same realm and aware of each other as we truly are. When we choose to be re-born we go to that environment appropriate to our level of spiritual development.

When we see UFOs maybe we're seeing the grounds-keepers doing their work, or maybe just more technologically advanced species having their jollies (day out at the zoo, scientific research, whatever). Or both.

The universe is a big forum, with members, mods and admins.

Sure there's credible evidence

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Los_Angeles?wasRedirected=true

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenix_Lights?wasRedirected=true

I'm using my phone to browse BCF at the mo an this subject is far too much to type out so I'll leave those here for now and shall return later!

Edit: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_McKinnon?wasRedirected=true

This guy hacked NASA/the pentagon, he says he saw hundreds of satellite images which were then subsequently photoshopped to remove pictures of UFOs. The US wants to rape his ass and are screaming for his extradition, a lot of fuss over a few supposedly harmless satellite pictures...

I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Thumbs Up

PS: I'm more concerned about finding intelligent life down here before worrying about out there. Looking around, we could probably do with it.

We are basing the "not possible" "need too much energy" "the mind couldn't cope" answers on earth/human theories and sciences that could well be way out of date in alien life or maybe altogether madness to them, what if they use some technology for energy totally different to ours and find the use of fossil fuels a revelation, could be why so many planes get 'buzzed'.

Without proof either way i'm open, saying that though the existence of a god seems to be generally accepted with no proof other than voices in peoples head, why not alien life forms?

There's a probability of other (and intelligent) life in the universe, but given the improbability of Faster Than Light or Light Speed travel from a human perspective we're not going to discover them.

Therefore the only possibly is for them to visit us, once again the probability of this is so small as to be impossible.

Theories abound on how bending space-time would make visitation possible, and a slightly newer theory of a holographic universe increases the probability, but only IF the the universe is holographic.

Either way, and sorry to rain on the parade, it's hardly worth thinking about, though I've clearly done that but I'll stop now. Embarassed

2 it's a bit narcissistic to assume they would want to visit us in the first place.

Probably the silly way we expend massive resources in killing each other to chase bits of paper.

Don't be stupid.

Of course Aliens are out there.

If you've ever tried to comprehend how small and insignificant this planet is on the wider scale of things you'll realise the chances are hugely stacked in favour of there being more life.

Other life on another planet might not be able to communicate vocally to one another, this makes them our equivalent of animals. Aliens aren't green men that shove their finger up your bum with big eyes. Aliens are any life form that coexist outside of this planet's boundaries.

They might be super smart, or at the same stage as us, on the door step of space travel. Or they're stupid as fcuk, our equivalent of cavemen.

Only time will tell, to who makes contact with who.
(People assume it will be them who comes to us, what if we're more technologically advance, then we'll be the intruders eventually.)

Yes there are aliens.
I did my own study on this just last Monday night.I Went out to my back garden at about 1am and shouted up to the sky"aliens are you up there" a few times.
Well one of them shouted back "shut up you fucking moron".

So yes there are aliens and they are very rude.
