they are classed as a car, they are taxed as such and MoTed as class 4, so will need full uk car liceance.

They are also a right shit to get MoTed because you can't get them on the brake rollers

There are normal cars like that. Those with 4wd won't appreciate attempts to turn one set of wheels and not the other set. You need a Tapley meter.

All the best

The handling of a quad can also be a nightmare on the road for an inexperienced driver/rider.
Trying to keep up with traffic, and cornering even at "normal" speeds, you'll probably end up hanging off the side like a demented gibbon at times. Just imagine GYKD on a vehicle that doesn't lean... Wink

Hello.

It's a bit of a moot point, if I see some one out on the road on a quad my first thought is: twat!

I can't help it, they have no redeeming qualities on road (off road then yes.) The only reason to use on on the road is if you're an attention seeking moron.

Thumbs Up

To be honust I won't ever have another car I'm done with them so I will always have a bike and do quite fancy a quad and would use it on the road when I don't fancy taking the bike.

used one for a week to commute Razz car was buggered and it was the snow era!

personally I enjoyed it, not as much as the bike but more so than the car, especially in the snow.

Car licence, insurance was £406 a year FC on a raptor 700, obviously didnt take the piss and used the 14 day period to decline the insurance Razz
