yes but your limited to a small band of speed at which they will win. up to 10mph a car does very wheel due to high mechanical grip and engine torque. much past that and the weight of the car combined with the way a cars engine doesnt rev very well will give a bike a big advantage. much past about 60mph and the bike will start to struggle as its lack of power begins to punish it.

So long as you have space to get up to around 30-40mph but not much more then you should win. sort blasts or long drags you will find tough.

I would never race a car on a long length, unless it was slow!
of course if the road was bendy i would give it all i have got, probably beating most cars/drivers unless they have a fast car or are a good driver?

you have the weight advantage on the corners, but thats it. Cars have the grip advantage over superbikes, and especially a 125.

Alot of standard cars when cornerd hard will keep with a superbike on the twistys (quicker turn in and can carry higher corner speed). So expect the car to be breathing down your next on the twistys. the only great advantage a bike has is the mid range pick up coming out of corners where the car is struggling to find a gear and some power whilst the bike has the drive to just pull away from it. On a 125 you wont have this advantage unless its a seriously tight corner.

For now just stick to thrashing peb boys and keeping your licence clean ready for insurance on something a bit more tasty Wink

Nah, off the lights or coming off a roundabout you'll knock chav-boy cars right out.

I find great pleasure in riding down to CMK on Saturday night and beating all the modded Novas, Fiestas, Pugs and Corsas off the traffic lights there Very Happy

Putting the old broken L-plate on the back just makes it even more insulting Razz

Yes, from a standstill up to about 80. Standing 1/4 mile time on the sports 125s is 15~16 seconds, which would be a respectable time for a hot hatch, and the bikes will hit mid 80s in that time.

The bike has the advantage that it weighs next to nothing and the clutch will take loads of abuse. The car has the advantage that they have far better aerodynamics.

All the best

Keith

Ive beaten a porche from the lights, my bike is a 20 year old 250kg tank of a thing, but people in cars only see a motorbike..
It would be rude not to make them feel stupid for attempting, the fact mine is regarded as a slow old hack make it all the more funny Twisted Evil (i don't break the speed limit, but it dosen't mention anywhere how fast you get to 60 does it? Very Happy )

I find racing cars from a red light very fun, mainly because i always beat them. The RS has much more power than my 15 year old NS but the NS could also smoke anything from a red light.

You wont have any problems beating cars on a derestricted 125 Thumbs Up

Hi

I had a Nova once try it on against me on the 1200 Bandit. Didn't notice until I short shifted into second and heard his engine screaming. Actually bothered to give it some throttle in 2nd and left him behind.

All the best

nah auto box and clutch = nail the throttle and your gone. 125 guy had to worry about power, clutch, gears etc.

Peds are quick off the mark, they just quickly run out of steam Razz
