I picked up a pair of used FT leather pants. They're comfortable, fit very snugly around the legs and are gradually breaking-in to my large-thigh'd shape, but the previous owner was presumably a little bit bigger around the middle.

The options are to have them taken-in a bit (I may add a bit of extra foam to the hips which will probably take up the room) or wear some braces.
Is there anything wrong with generic elastic braces or are heavy-duty 'motorbike braces' required?

Even wearing heavy and soggy C/S trousers. And they're elastic.

I have a pair of these:

And I can't fault them. My Dad used them for a few years before he sold his bike which is when I nabbed them and they've been great, nice and comfy too.

Are you taking the piss. Nobody in there right mind should be wearing braces in this day and age except the old man up the street who has an unhealthy obsession with watch internals. The only other person who can wear them is bobby ball. Whats wrong with a belt. Confused Question Question

A belt creates an uneven distribution of material, known in the trade as 'a gather'
