Bright headlight bulbs.

Looking for a new set of headlight bulbs for the bike, Looking for some brighter ones but dont want to be fitting a HID kit to the bike.

What are peoples reccomendations for a brighter bulb. They need to be in H4 fitment.

Philips xtremes are pretty much the best you can get.

A car mag i red done a side by side comparison of Halfords, Ring , Osram , Philips brightest selection of bulbs

Philips beat everything in H7 & H4

I'm actually thinking about buying a set of my CBR, I'm guessing it should be a noticeable improvement over the standard bulb?

Also how do you go about buying the right bulbs for a bike? Usually with my car I match it up with the product number, but what would I go for my 1991 CBR 600?

Not sure if the cbr will be single or twin bulb. Best thing to do is take the bulb/s out of the headlight and look what is stamped on the ring.

Have a look to see if it's single or dual filament too.

Do all these ultrabright bulbs last as long as a normal bulb or do they burn out twice as fast and need replacing regularly?

my philips usually last about a 10 months but my headlight is always on as soon as i turn the key so about the same i recon

Dl650 vstrom and R1 both plastic headlights and there fine


if you buy from ebay have a look through a few adds sometimes you can get a set of philips blue sidelights FREE with your order.

Ordered those Philips yesterday after the good reviews. Anything must be better than OEM (on pretty much any bike).
