My GS500 is coming up to MOT time and to be honest, its not exactly in prime condition.
What I need is one of those MOT garages that is pretty liberal and doesn't mind a couple of bodges and stuff and maybe might let it pass if the forks are 1mm wonky for example.

So yeah, if you know anywhere that is a bit of a 'man in his shed' type operation in or around Southampton then please could you PM me the details.
cheers

P.S. Anyone got an exhaust hanger bracket thing for a standard GS500 exhaust. It is currently being held on by metal wire wrapped around it and the frame Smile

SmartBike over at Droxford on the A32 (Taylors Garage) are your best bet in the area...plus if you need any work doing they only charge about £25 an hour. Thumbs Up

I have half a GS 500 I want shot of, loads of good spares £50, includes decent exhaust system and crash bars.

Engine is fubar. No clocks, swingarm, rear shock, tank and a few other bits missing. Has decent wheels with fairly good BT45's on it.

Could probably fit into a medium sized car with the rear seats down.

Frame is striaght and Has a v5

I might take you up on that, but want to find out the extent of how much it will fail an MOT by first.
Does it have the full headlight setup?

And keep those backstreet MOT test centres coming in Smile

No Headlight or Indicators I'm afraid.
