Any one a fan?
Ive always been heavily into the films so i thought i'd best grab a copy of the first season.
Im glued!
So far im impressed, they've had a hard job trying to tie things in as the story A) has a fair few holes B) its just a huge concept. The dialogue is pretty full on for an American series and the budget must be huge.
For those that don't know the story begins just after Terminator 2. John and Sarah are together, on the run, Sarah has shacked up with a dude for sometime but fearing for their safety she leaves him for a new town, with John. The town is quiet, but not for long, a terminator sent back to protect John is disguised as a gorgeous female. She's a few models down from the shape shifter in 3, but she's agile, strong and very convincing.
Thats all i'll say really. Some great bits of story from Doctor soberman (retired), the origins of the Skynet neural net processor and interlinking stories of the future with Sarah and John.
At first i must admit i wasn't sure of Lena Headey, she's a bit too pretty to be Sarah Conner. Linda Hamilton wasn't ugly but had such a strong side to her, she really came across masculine at times, she had naturally sad eyes and although you felt sorry for her she could also kick your ass. Lena is growing on me though, i realised she was the queen in 300 and remembered she was a feisty lass...she's likeable and tough. Summer Glau is just smoking hot, they've been generous on eye candy...she's a terminator too which is a bonus. She's doing a good job as a terminatrix, she has a neutral look which is cute at the same time quite menacing, she does smile occasionally and it works well when she puts on certain 'emotions'.
Finally there's John played by Thomas Dekker, he's good, just like Edward Furlong he comes across venerable but you can see the soldier building as he spends more time with his mum and the Terminator.
I won't go on, but i do recommend if you like the films catch this series. Thumbs Up

Hi

Watched it on Sky / Virgin and quite liked it. However it ended in a bit of a cliff hanger, and then they cancelled any future series (don't worry, you have quite a few episodes to go).

All the best

Keith

Hi

Think the writers strike just landed up with the end of the first series rejigged, and the last episodes landing up in the 2nd series instead.

All the best

I watched it for a bit, but got a bit muddled up, because they repeated some episodes but it wasn't listed that they were repeats, I ended up missing big chunks, and then it just ended.

But I liked the concept. And enjoyed what I did see. Thumbs Up
