You weigh 1500lbs?
...the Varadero is an excellent 125 for the bigger person. I love the look as it isn't too sporty, trying to be something it's not (like the CBR). Saying that I find my YBR is also ok and comfy although more traditional in style but the riding position is pretty upright (sit up and beg) which is nice. Basically steer clear of Chinese bikes and as long as you stick with manufacturers like Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Hyosung you'll be fine. ____________________ CBT February 2008 | A2 June 2008 | Yamaha YBR125 (written off) | Honda CBF125 (current) |

Thanks for all the replys
Unsure between the Varadero and the NSR. Think the Vandero might be better suited for my build, comfort and distance.
still open to suggestions
Anything to look for when buying a secound hand one? Any problems with them .etc
Thanks. ____________________ If you ain't falling off, you ain't trying. |

I have a Varadero, I'm 6' 1" and find her dead comfy, she' can do 70 and is quite good on the go go juice, I'd recomend you go have a sit on one and see how it feels.
Its a Honda so pretty bullet proof engine, loads of spares available on ebay etc, check the down pipes as these get the most crap thrown at them unless a fenda extenda has been fitted. Check here for more info and some good examples for sale.

Kymco KR125 sport, not chinese, made with honda cbr125's in taiwain, 4stroke, very reliable, parts not to bad to replace, only issue is the indicator bulb fittings and the non-standard sized battery.
Looking at 67mph tops, very comfortable, good to learn on, sounds nice going along at 15mph in 1st and a good eye turner.
I'm 6ft 7, riding one, good fun, no issues apart from leaning going around the roundabouts, tend to find my foot rubbing on the ground, but im a giant and that comes with size 14 feet.
Bike's very nice, around £2500 new, 1400 for a 2008 model like mine which was bought with 340miles and in mint condition (had a feeling its been in someones garage for a while)
Also it's known as the Kymco Quannon 125 in europe, incase you wanted to google image some pictures/ youtube to find some vids. ____________________ C.B.T - Expired

i am so pleased to hear that i am not the only tall/large rider in the world.
i am 6`4" and 16 stone .
thing is i have a Honda CG in my collection but feel reluctant to ride it as i am aware that i might look a bit silly. it might look like i have a bit of bike stuck up my arse-cheeks
i have plans to do a tour on it this summer.
i wanted a Veradero but could`nt afford one. ____________________ I am the sum total of my own existence, what went before makes me who I am now! |

Varadero is at the top so far.
Been looking round ebay / autotrader / gumtree (anyone think of anywhere else?) I really want a 07+ Version but cant find any for under 2000.
Still got to go and have a sit on them though so will do that over easter. Definatly looking at the Varadero and the Kymco.
Kymcos cheaper for newer

Yeah, will be a struggle to find a varadero for less, that's why I never really liked them, they are comfy, doesnt feel like a 125 when your sitting on them, but all in all, its a 125.
Kymco has a different seating structure but is still comfortable, ok, in all fairness not as comfortable as the varadero, again with the design and positioning whilst sat on them. ____________________ C.B.T - Expired
