 |
|
Toying with getting something that makes a virtue of being under 33bhp just in case I accidentally pass my "practice" tests.
I'm purely commuting (nothing to do with traffic, more mpg and fun) and have little interest in top speed. If a 125 was a tiny bit faster between 40 and 60, I'd happily stick with one.
Favourites I've come up with so far:
MT350e "don't mess with me"
https://www.mod-sales.com/direct/vehicle/,21,/21296/Harley_Davidson.htm#
Royal Enfield something-EFI... I rather like the new Woodsman... no pressure to be fast on a classic style bike
https://www.royal-enfield.com/woodsman.html
Any thoughts on the above, or any other way out ideas? ____________________ Honda Varadero 125cc => Suzuki Bandit 650 33bhp => 77bhp =>

I commuted 80 miles a day on a classic 500 Bullet of which 2/3rds was motorway. The newer lean burn engine with fuel injection is supposed to be sweeter, but the rest of the bike will still need more maintenance than an equivalent Jap bike, and it's way overpriced for what it is. Only go that route if you actually enjoy weekly fettling. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

So, been around and about.... found one odd-ball that fits me:

Reviews aren't 100% promising, but they're cheap, good looking (to me!) and restricting to 33bhp isn't going to make a lot of difference compared to many.
Worth a punt for the next couple of years? ____________________ Honda Varadero 125cc => Suzuki Bandit 650 33bhp => 77bhp =>
