man on bus (wanker)-shouting racial abuse at mrs today

My mrs took the bus today and as she was getting off, she realised that a drunk looking man (bit rowdy) in his late teens/early twenties had been saying something to her.

She was unable to hear exactly what he was saying as she had her headphones in her ears listening to music. So she just said "excuse me", but by that time she was already starting to walk off the bus (the guy stayed on).
She said although she didn't catch what he was saying, she said he was looking angry and sounded pissed off.

When she was off the bus, a woman said to her that the guy was really out of order.
My mrs explained she hadn't actually heard him so the woman told her what he said.
Apparently the gist of what he said to her was
"why don't you fuck off back to your own country, nigger" and a few other sentances along those lines. He was with a couple mates who were sniggering among themselves.

Now this really pissed me off when she told me and made me wish I was there. He probably wouldn't of said fuck all if she was with a bloke.
Nothing like this as ever happened since I've been with the mrs, the area we live in is practically a 99.9 % white town,so its rare to see a black person, but its generally fairly quiet.

What annoys me more than anything is I don't give a shit if the guy has his own personal racist viewpoint, but he is just trying to make my mrs, a woman, someone smaller and weeker than him uncomfortable and embarressed just becuase he can and because he knows she can't stand up to him.
He probably had a look at the people on the bus, judged that there was also no one else who could stand up for her (all woman, kids and old people on bus) and then started having a go.
I bet he would of sat quiet as a mouse if there was some big beefy black guy sat on the bus. I know she didn't realise at the time but its not the point.

I can't see the point in reporting it the police as it won't acheive anything. I hope one day she points him out to me when were in town.

Accusations of Racism are one the things that need no evidence for the initial arrest. If you ring 999 and lie that someone has been racist towards you they will just nick that person no questions, will be released but will have the trouble of being arrested.
