Should be getting an RS125 and be on the road by June. I have a few questions if anyone would care to answer.
1.) How bad is it in the winter?
I'm not a pussy but everyone keeps telling me how terrible biking is in the winter. I'd wear textiles and all the gear, are you always guaranteed to be cold or something?
2.) No insurance claims
With no claims on insurance roughly, how much does it go down by each year? I know it depends on a lot. Any rough idea or from your own experience, particulary 125 riders aged 19 or under would be helpful.
3.) Top End Rebuild Costs
I have googled this but can't find an answer. If I was to supply all the kit needed (Rings, Pistons etc) how much generally would the labour be?

You've got it a lot better nowadays riding in winter because you have proper warm gear aimed at bikers. My Dad tells me of winters where he rode from Nottingham to Norwich with newspaper stuffed down his jeans for extra warmth 
I once got so cold that I didn't realise I hadn't put my feet down upon stopping and fell over with the bike on top of me, I was stuck there for ages.

The cold can be managed, by wearing lots of clothes. I'm talking 3 pairs of trousers, 3 shirts, 3 jackets, 3 pairs of gloves etc
If you wear enough clothes, you will be able to ride with the visor half open and not feel the cold too much. This is important, as if you ride with a steamed up visor, you might not see where you are going, or it might steam up suddenly forcing you to slow down suddenly, and for other vehicles behind to suddenly have to avoid you.
This happened to me recently. Basically, I could have ended up like one of ste's vids of people getting squished under trucks.
There is a knack to riding in winter. Assume there is ice everywhere, and avoid using the front brake, as if it locks, you are probably going down.

Yeah did that riding my friends RS50, I swear to this day I didn't even clench the front brake that hard. Was wet though too. I ended up giving him £300 for repairs, all cosmetic though. It's fucking ridiculous the amount aprilia charge for plastic.. Guess it does come from Italy though.
I wasn't badly injured, few scars, I was dressed like a wife beater though, just trackies and a vest was asking for it really. I've had my first motorcycle accident and I don't even own one yet  |

1) Ir can be very very bad or good. Generally not as fun as summer for obvious reasons. Main reason is warmth. I could ride in the winter in jeans easily, but I can withstand cold quite well. Fingers are the key part. inner gloves and summer gloves aren't good enough unless you only ride for 15 minutes or so. Nor will winter gloves.
Best gloves to get are the "3 fingered" glove.

But I would also recommend getting bar muffs (look silly, but will keep a lot of wind from reaching your fingers, which is the key) AND hot grips. You can either make your own (sort off, recent thread explaining what to do with a certain kit HEre) or you can buy some. Tend to be quite chunky though. You can buy grips that have the heaters in them or things that go over the grips. Both are chunky and they're not cheap.
If not, you'll get finger pain. It'll hurt to move/use your fingers to use the clutch/brake and it'll kill when you get off the bike and start warming up! Went through it 5 days a week, 3 nights a week for over a year, (college, bartender)
And you know what? Would rather do that than be stuck in a cage. 
If you set out with the right equipment it can still be fun, you jut have to be more sensible.
2) This is tricky to answer, as it's different to everyone and depends on the bike, you, what job you have, where you live, etc. Too many variables. Tbh, insurance for a 125 isn't much. First year I paid 500 (17, no NCB) but my mum did the insurance and screwed it all up. Put the value of the bike down as near 2 grand when it was actually worth about 500-600 
2nd year I sorted it out and paid 115 with 1 years NCB. It will be higher for an rs125. Bets bet is to shop around. Or do a few test. Same company. Same bike, everything and then add a years no claims and check the difference.
3) Can't answer at all. Labour p/h is ridiculous. Learn to do it yourself? Some things can be surprisingly easy and there's plenty of people on this forum who are willing to help, either personally or just writing notes on the forum. Loads of people here with knowledge on RS125's.

Shit happens. I got pole vaulted of my Hornet.
You'll learn soon enough how the brakes work and feel. You'll get used to the bite, the grip from your tyres and which bits of road are stickier. At least you paid the damages. 
Don't worry about gear. You only ask for it if you ride like a wanker.
Gear in winter? Yes. More for warmth and wind protection.
Gear in summer? You decide. Only law is wearing a Helmet. I'd quite like to go out on my bike in the summer, jeans, trainers, some sort of light jacket or shirt and my Ray Ban aviators 
But I'll stick to man thong and Helmet

Ha, I remember the day I gave my friend a lift on the back, nice sunny day. Bit cold. But sunny.
Drop him off, on my way to my ex gf's and suddenly it starts pissing it down. And I mean really. 3rd gear powerslides. And then it starts hailing.
Bearing in mind I'm wearing, jeans, trainers, and a t-shirt underneath my leather jacket and jut thin summer gloves.
Got to my ex's and was chucking ice of my shoulders ad Helmet.
Was a bit weird walking in solid trousers too
Ah well, good excuse to take my trousers off
