After getting through my first winter on a sports bike without crashing or damaging the bike in any way, i was quite enjoying the nice weather we've had and was really getting used to the cbr.......and now, some ignorant cunt has spoilt it for me by reversing into it.

I know it's one of my neighbours as i live in a close but so far no one has owned up to it, no note on the bike or through the door or anything. Theres a nice big dent in the corner of the tank, all the left side fairings are cracked/snapped, bubble screen is cracked, stand has had it, pillion foot rest in scratched to fuck.

Not what i need! Now i need to find out which one of the incompetent, half asleep retards down my road did it.

I've heard a rumour that other vehicles can access cul-de-sacs too.

Only a rumour mind.

indeed,

i get out the csi kit and go looking for evidence of who hit your bike, the sooner the better so they don't have time to clean up

Could have been a delivery driver. Generally they'll be in more of a rush, in a large van, and have more to lose by doing the damage than one of your neighbours.

I remember watching a lorry wipe out THREE parked motorbikes in the centre of London once. He was trying to get to a building site, and couldn't fit down a back road. He actually just drove off after knocking them all over!!
Thankfully there were four different people, in different offices who all saw what had happened, got the reg plate, and company name/number off the truck.

Its a bit bad no one has owned up.

I'd suggest going to each of your neighbours who drives and asking if they saw or heard anything, and hope someone looks guilty.

I'd hate not knowing who it was.

Someone might own up to having ordered food which was delivered at about that time, I'd go speak to the neighbours.

Some cunt did that to one of my bikes about 30 years ago. Fucker even had dents in the back of his Rover that matched up with my footpeg, handlebar & brake lever. Paint marks on both the bike & car matching the paint on the other.
Fucker denied all knowledge etc. A few weeks later he moved to the other side of town, sold the Rover & bought a Jag.

About a year later it suffered massive/expensive damage as some bugger drained his gearbox of oil in the middle of the night. Wink

Still haven't found out who it was, been to all the neighbours and no one knows anything. I parked next to a green peaguot which is a neighbour's daughter but funnily enough she hasn't heard from her since the night it happened. a few months ago it happened to my mates bike and they knocked on the door straight away to tell us. it's quite a narrow road and everyone's vehicle gets bumped at some point thanks to alot of women drivers in family cars.

The bikes rideable after some treatment with gaffa tape but steering has been affected - when i full lock left the front brake lever hits into the dials, found that out parking up today
