You don't mention where you are from? It does make a difference.
Getting in is fairly relaxed, there is queuing but since people are turning up over an extended period its generally not too bad. If you wait for the last race to finish then you can expect to wait a fairly long time to get out, made worse by all the nutters on bikes weaving in and out of the traffic . The police do a pretty good job of keeping things moving, at the tracks I've been to they set up a one way system. I tend to make sure that I've got food and drink and camp out until things calm down.
There is generally little, if any cover. Make sure you check the weather forecast or you could end up soaking wet or cooked.
Ask on here for the best viewing points for whatever track you go to. |

People turn up at all times, so provided you get there early getting in is easy. Getting a good viewing spot is important as moving about can be a pain when its busy. Expect burger vans etc to be expensive and with massive queues so taking some of your own food is probably a good idea. When it comes to the end of the last feature race alot of people leave so if you wait till the end of the very last race, then walk back the long way the traffic should have died down and escape now possible
For viewing shorter tracks are best as you can see more of it, and they come passed you more times. For this reason mallory is good if a little basic. |

Leaving is the worse bit in my opinion, especially in a car, because you will leave at the same time as everyone else.
As for whilst you are there (if you are going by car, you may as well take everything you can): food, drink, snacks, waterproofs, a picnic blanket, chairs etc.
It's a day out, the elements may change. There are some excellent circuits for the spectator and some dull ones. I know a lot of people who follow BSB all year round, and every race, and the more often they are seen, the more likely they get into pit area to meet the stars. ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |
