I've got my dad's car on ebay and the first 3 bidders have 0 feedback, is there anything I can do?

Anyone else had this?

The auction still has another 6 days and the bidders have joined about a month ago but have no feedback or anything Confused

I always put on the auction in nice big fat writing, "If you have less than 10 feedback, please contact me before placing a bid or it will be removed".

You can remove someone's bid on your auction I think? Anyway, if you can't, email them and ask for phone numbers so you can check they're serious and not wasting your time.

I fucking hate ebay when people do stuff like that, fair enough, they might be legit buyers but it doesn't look good.

Delete their bids if you think they're not genuine. But why do you think someone would be making fake accounts to bid on your dads car, have you pissed someone on eBay off?

Nope but you do get general wasters on there Laughing

I think I'll leave it for now as it's early days but if they are still near the top towards the end I'll contact them Thumbs Up

I am glad in winning your vehicle and am sure it is as advertised and am happy with your communication and you appear to be a trustworthly man. I am buying the car for my daughter and am currently in Nigeria on business. I will send you a big cheque, including shipping fees.......

you get the idea..

Some good setting there but the lowest you can set to is -1 feedback not 0 but still better than nothing. You can even stop people bidding from countries you don't post to Laughing

I wouldn't worry too much. I think there's a lot of hysteria about zero feedbackers myself.

I thought about that but decided to re list as it was in the wrong place anyway because of my spelling mistake Laughing

Had a lot of interest so far and this time have bidders with feedback so hopefully it should be OK this time Praying

I hope I get my final value fee back for the other one though!

I wouldn't worry about people with 0 feedback bidding on it.
I'd only consider giving it a thought if they won the auction.
Until then let them bid the price up Thumbs Up

This is taking the piss now! Twice the auction has finished with bidders who don't respond and this is third time I've re-listed and have already had 2 dud bidders bid like 10 times! this time I've just deleted their bids and blocked them.

One weird thing was the bids went like this:

0 bidder - Bid time 00:58
0 bidder - Bid time 00:58
0 bidder - Bid time 00:58
Proper bidder - bid time 15:43
0 bidder - Bid time 00:58
0 bidder - Bid time 00:58

Confused

It is annoying when you get messed about on ebay. The sad thing is that this is all part of the ebay experience I'm afraid.

The zero feedback bidders thing:
I never know what to do either. The thing is, buying a large item like a car or motorbike is just the sort thing someone who has never used ebay before may sign up for.
I usually get them to contact me if they are bidding with low feedback. Most of the major items I've sold on ebay have been to 0 feed back users and luckily most of them have been geniuine people.

That's why I let them bid in the other auctions but this time I wrote in bold 'People with 0 feedback please contact me before bidding otherwise I will cancel your bid. Thank You' so I'm not taking no shit this time! Mad
