On the way to work today - i pulled out my drive ( my house is on a hill, unmade with many potholes) as i pull out (im in my car by the way) there is a silver 4x4 coming down, i pull out in front as there is plenty of time and space, i look behind and realise he is going rather quickly down the road, i get to the bottom where its really bad and slow down to avoid damage to my suspension, he is up my arse the whole time, he then shoots round me so i stupidly stuck my hand out the window and did the old wanker sign. He stops immediately shout and screaming so i just casually drive past, he then shoots up my arse round and in front of blocking me off, gets out of his car (my window still open) comes straight up to the window swearing and being very aggressive saying what was the wanker sign for saying i was driving like a twat going to slow, at this point i realise one he saw where i came out from knowing where i live and where my car will be, 2 that he is blocking me getting out my car whilst realising all this he grabs me by my top with his other hand clenched in a fist, he then said let me hear an apology, so i explain and say sorry, at this point feeling really low and weak Embarassed Sad
Im pretty sure he lives around my area and i am going to keep an eye out for him and his car, but im really worried now that he may do something to my car if he sees it in my drive or down my road.
Its been on my mind all day, I should have got out the car the fucked him up before he got to my car but then that is motive to fuck my car up if he sees it down my road/drive. Im going to hunt down his car and see where it is so i know where i lives just as back up, but i cant get it off my mind. Fuming, annoyed, worried and upset all at once.

Forget about it, most people 'move on' after such incidents... He would be a bit sad to hold a grudge.

I thought that but if he is happy to jump out his car for that and grab me, then i wouldnt be suprised. I could see in his eyes he wanted to deck me good and proper. Lesson learnt he is to not do wanker signs unless away from home... and 2 get out the car before they do.

In all seriousness I'm sure he will have calmed down and probably feel a little embarrassed about the whole thing.

He knows where you live, I'd say he's likely to come and arse rape you when you're asleep. He'll probably also loosen the bolts on your brake lines so the fluid slowly drains out so that you crash and die next time you use your car.

Sleep well. Wink

and 2 get out the car before they do.

Good advice, pretty vulnerable when low in a car, particularly if they have access.

When the guy grabbed you, that is the line and that would have been your cue to self defense. Hand on the door release catch, and the full force of your leg or shoulder to push the door violently open. He would have been on the floor without question.

It's a difficult one, I unfortunately had a similar incident last week although the shoe was on the other foot so to speak.

Coming down a dual carriageway where it closes from 2 into 1 lane. At this exact point, there is a right hand filter that starts in lane 2, my turning for work.

As traffic usually backs up at this point, it is common for me and most other people turning right to just carry straight on in lane 2 into the filter lane.

As lane 1 backed up as usual, I was charging quite happily past when a British Gas van decided to do the self appointed lane marshall thing that is getting far too common these days and pull out on me intentionally and damn suddenly. I wasn't 100% sure the van would have stopped, so I swerved and ran up the curb.

I then went to pass him again, and again he did the same thing.

The red mist decended unfortunately, I abandoned my turning and chased him down the road, eventually to his work after several miles. Followed him in to his yard, he parked up I jumped out. I was seething at this point and let rip, since it was clear to me he was fully prepared to cause an accident, perhaps even injury or death over a road position. I was fully prepared to embed an inch and a quarter whitworth spanner into his face.

It amazed me how he shrivelled into a pathetic little weasel once outside the protection of his metal box, as I imagine most would. I gave him a few choice words, I explained what I was doing and why his action was dangerous and wrong, and explained what I thought of him.

I then demanded an apology and he delivered one, though clearly a little insincere.

I have had years now of people doing daft and stupid things, that I can tolerate. When it comes to endangering my life on purpose i've reached the end, and if it is within my power to do so, I will draw them the line.

About 4 years ago, I filtered to the front of some traffic on my bike at a T-junction. A guy in a 4x4 gave me a mouthful through the glass, so I flipped him the V back.

We pulled out of the junction and turned down a side road. I went for the overtake, and he closed the door and forced me off the road out of spite. Again, could have been very nasty. I followed him home, watched him park up, and then I considered my position rather vulnerable, bottled it and rode home. I've regretted ever since not even going and giving him a piece of my mind, and it still makes me angry now when I think about it.

There were absolutely no consequences for 4x4 man and his reckless action that day, and that is the biggest fuck of them all.

I resolved that British Gas man was not getting off the same way. I'm tired of being the doormat all the time.

Two things to consider:

The odds; if there is a rusty white van with a couple of hefty looking pikeys you might be best advised to let it go, gotta punch your weight.

Property is also the other consideration, starting a war on your doorstep will more than likely involve other parties who don't deserve to get dragged in. (Having said that, i've said my piece to some local fucktards around here who were being noisy arseholes with their cars late at night and i've had no trouble since).

l spoke to guy a few years ago who did that to a car jacker, he emptied a M1911 through the drivers door into the guys legs/gut, what pissed him off the most was the damage he did to the door on his new car. Laughing

Because you hesitated about getting out the car he had the upper hand, literally, so if you do see him again you'll have to pick your arsehole up as you know he's all for standing up and making a point...

Few years ago a chap that I'd supposedly spoken about behind his back came across me and the Missus in the local, straight away he's across the room giving it the big 'un, we're sat down lower than him so he's right above me shouting his mouth off and waving his arms, all the while he's saying his piece I'm watching his jaw, it was on a fucking plate and if I'd have stood up I'd have knocked him bandy with a sweet uppercut...

Why didn't I ?...Because if I had, he'd have splattered the Missus and a pile of glasses as he went down and the pub corner I was sat in was cctv'd to the hilt, all the while I'm sat there taking all this in the window of opportunity had gone and I'm not ashamed to say a little of my arsehole, as he backed away I stood up and he threw a punch, I stepped back and the stool hit me the back of the knee causing my leg to buckle, he just about connected as I went down so for good measure he stamped on my face, I shot back up and he ran out the pub, all I had marks wise was a little bit of a black eye the next morning, the adrenaline at the time stopped any aches and pains...

Knocked me for a few days so I know how you're feeling, but, he made the first move and he thinks he put me down, he was shocked that I got straight back up though I'll tell you that, when I see him again ( the worlds to big to go looking for him but not that big that I wont bump into him again ) he'll think he has the edge, where as it's the other way round as he'll think I wont do fuck all again and I know he's ready to have another go because of it, so fairs fair as soon as his mouth opens to start shouting again I'll fucking shut it...

Long Post...Meh...

If I was you I wouldn't worry about it too much, as it's probably not going to amount to anything. If it does then you have a pretty good line of enquiry for the PoPo to go on (if they can be bothered)!

Chap in a work's van pulled up on a slip road in front of me and came up to my window to yell at me, as he said I was driving too close - he'd pulled in front of me and apparently I should have slowed down faster! I was totally insensed, so I shot out and squared up to him quite happily and gave him the most foul mouth tirade he'd probably ever heard from a 5'2" female. Later I 'phoned his work place and told them that next time he shouldn't behave like an idiot in their van (company name and number on side of van) and to pick on someone his own size next time!! I bet he had the absolute pi$$ ripped out of him for weeks by all his work mates!! Mr. Green

I was pretty lucky there were witnesses and he didn't thump me really, but I only thought about that afterwards! Embarassed

Hmmm, you seemed to have forgotten to ask it, but yes the answer to the question you want to have asked is:
Around £500 a year peak, roughly £350 a year off-peak. And cheaper at most places if you're a student. Just remember to listen at orientation so you know how to use the machines properly, and have a look in the various threads on the subject in random banter.

I dont usually do any gestures from annoyance when driving, i just say to myself "what an arsehole" but for some reason i didnt even hesitate, before i could think my hand was out the window doing the gesture. I reckon i could have put up a a fight (and it would have without doubt led to one had i got out) but even now when i wimpered out like a pansey and said sorry as he requested Mad Im still worried he will bum rape my car.
I even half thought about keeping a long eye out for the car stopping him and (grit my teeth, demolish any pride i have) say a bigger sorry and explain i wasnt thinking, he was right, bla bla just to help the fact he wont go seeking revenge on my car at night....
