fully synthetic - man made oil, generally doesn't gum up under extreme temps and running conditions like mineral oils
semi synthetic, upto 30% synthetic and the rest of mineral oil
part synthetic is the same as semi, just named differently
enhanced oil, generally refers to mineral oils that have additives (like magnatech) which in essence makes it a semi synthetic oil
and mineral oil, it comes from the ground, natural occuring base crude and then refined
as to whats best, thats an argument in itself
i run the cheapest oil i can find, and do oil changes often,
but i only own old bikes ____________________ the humans are dead

If you run old British bikes without filters you need to use oils without detergent from companies such as Morris Oils who do a range of classic oils. ____________________ Bikers make great organ donors, get 115 on your licence today. |
